We are in a market that is tough for lots of sellers. Many are still holding out hope that the days of being able to just list a house at any price and have it sell are still around. For a while there, even very overpriced homes could count on at least getting offers at a more reasonable price. Well that market is gone. While many seem to be holding onto the idea that you can always come down in price, what they fail to realize is that by starting out at a high price, you are losing the advantages associated with a new listing, when it hits the market at an unrealistic price.

Then there are the agents that are willing to take these overpriced listings that have little or no hope of selling. Why do they do this? We will discuss the self serving reasons some agents have for taking an overpriced lising.

In this podcast, we take a look at what consequences there can be for having an overpriced listing and why some agents are willing to take these types of listings at all.
