Just because the market is down in general does not mean it is down by the same amount everywhere. In fact, many areas are not down at all, but enjoying continued average home increases.
If your a seller, that means your a buyer too... unless you plan to become a renter. Do you know how the market has performed in the areas you are thinking of moving too? Have you compared that performance to where your home currently is? What you don't know could cost you thousands of dollars. Make sure your real estate agent is giving you all the information you need to make the right decisions that could save you many times what your Realtor is earning.
