My wife and I bought our first house with Robert as our agent. My wife and I each had a list of requirements that were very different. After each house we looked at, Robert talked to us about the things we each liked and disliked. He got us to come together on a list of things that we both wanted from house and that would make us both happy. We qualified for more, and look at more expensive houses, but Robert never pressured us into buy any of the houses we looked at, not even the one that we eventually bought. The negotiations for our house took a long time. Robert explain each step to us, answered all of our questions and was very patient. At each step, he explained what was likely to happen. All but one small step, went exactly as he thought it would. We bought our house with an FHA loan. The process for getting an FHA loan approved had just changed and it had been awhile since Robert worked with clients buying with one. He called our loan broker, who had worked with another family member in the past, and apologized for asking what he assumed would be a very common question, "How does the new process work and what do I need to do?" The loan broker spoke with my wife and I, and said, "No realtor asked her that question and wished more brokers would, as things would go much more smoothly." If it wasn't for Robert's attention to details and wanting the process to be smooth as possible, we wouldn't have gotten our house, as the FHA process changed just as we closed. I have already recommended Robert to friends. He is a down-to-earth, honest guy who loves real estate and cares about his clients.

Robert was really great to work with during the sale of our first home. We were able to put our house up on the market and have great offers within the first 2 weeks and closed on our house within 30 days. We did a concurrent close with our new home in the Sacramento area and Robert helped to ensure that we closed on time in the Bay area while working with our escrow company to make sure our home would be ready for move in the very next day. Robert is very knowledge, friendly, honest, and professional. He guided us throughout the entire process and was very quick to respond to all our questions. I will recommend Robert to anyone trying to sell their home.

Robert is a very honest realtor. He is a no-nonsense, no-BS realtor. He took time to show us different areas of Morgan Hill and his local knowledge is too good. He does a great job with Market analysis for the property and helps to write up a competitive offer. He is very quick to respond if we have any questions. Robert is entertaining, and is easy to work with. He is a real go-getter, and is very knowledgeable. I am impressed by his honesty, and integrity. Robert and his associate, Renee Lee visited our home in a relaxed, yet very professional manner. At no time did they use "high pressure/get it sold" tactics. Rather, we discussed an effective marketing strategy, price point and timing of the process. Renee has been calm and assuring throughout the of selling our home and purchasing our beautiful new home in San Martin. I have known Robert Whitelaw for 3 years, and used him to buy my current resident. I plan to use him again in the very near future to purchase a rental property. He is an EXCELLENT agent! Very very knowledgeable. And he will tell it like what it is - meaning that he won't up-sale you or tell you that "there are other offers coming in, so you better make an offer, too." If the real estate market is a buyer's market, he will tell you and advise you on a fair offer price. He will work with Sellers and the seller agent to get you the best deal possible at the time. He is also very PATIENT, which was exactly what I needed. I was 7 months pregnant at the time, so with hormone raging and the urge to "nest," Robert was able to keep my goal in mind and not rush into any "deal" that might have seen good at the time. So, in conclusion, would I recommend Robert to anybody? The answer is OF COURSE! He is the best agent that I have worked with. And I would know, I owned both commercial and residential property in bay area.

Robert Whitelaw was the real estate agent who negotiated the sale of our house. Robert was outstanding in the advertisement of our home, doing a fantastic job on the video walk through of the house. It truly was amazing, and brought immediate interest, with many potential buyers. In fact, we ended up selling our home to one of the first interested parties. However, Robert really proved his worth in perseverance, by the way he hung in there and worked well to come to an agreement with an extremely difficult agent.Also, Robert was completely effective in negotiating the sale price for our house. Robert negotiated for the sale price we were asking, which we did not expect, and we were thrilled with the extra money!I highly recommend Robert for any real estate transaction because his spectacular advertisement, attention to details, perseverance and outgoing personality, only accentuate his excellent skills in real estate.
